Page 28 of Hard for You

“Amelia, what are youdoing running in the forest?” He held out his hand toward her.

The same hands that had given her a greatdeal of pleasure.

No, his tongue had given you pleasure, not his hands.

His hands are worthless.

Shepushed herself to her feet without taking any of his help.

Yay, her.

“What are you doing here?” she asked.

“Answer my question.”

She gritted her teeth. Being part of the Poison Wolves MC, Wolfe had priority over her questioning. She had no choice but to answer him, which did still piss her off, like, a lot.

“I thought I saw someone.”

“What?” Wolfe went immediately on high alert, looking around.

“Outside of my apartment building. Someone was watching me. I don’t know if they were watching me specifically, but … I don’t know, it was … creepy.” She wrapped her arms around herself. “It was creepy, wasn’t it?”

“Someone was watching you outside of your house, and you just chased them into the forest. Do you think that was ideal? Safe?”

“I wasn’t exactly thinking, Wolfe. I reacted.”

“They could have been hunters, Amelia. They could have been trying to take you, luring you out into the forest to capture you, so they could hunt you.”

Amelia held her hand up. He wasn’t going to scare her. “Stop, Wolfe. This guy, he wasn’t a hunter.”

Wolfe glared. “And you think that is going to make me feel better about this?”

“I don’t know what you’re going to feel, and to be perfectly frank, it’s not like it’s any of your business what I do.”She hated that her pussy pulsed in his presence. That her nipples tightened, and this need seemed to be clawing up her spine, begging for her to listen. Her attraction to Wolfe hadn’t dissipated.

With how she reacted, if anything, her needs were stronger than ever, and it was making it harder for her to stop them.

“Damn it, Amelia. Do you have any idea how dangerous it is?”

“Yes, I do, but I didn’t think. I just … reacted.”

“What were you going to do when you caught him? Sing him a lullaby?”

Amelia’s arousal stopped. He was mocking her. That son of a bitch.

She took a step away fromhim. “You know what, I don’t know what I would have done, but seeing as you’re here now, you can handle it. Being a big, muscular wolf, you can handle anything that us mere baby wolves cannot.” She turned on her heel, about to walk away, but he caught her arm.

“Amelia, stop.”

“Let me go.”

“No, I’m not letting you leave like this.”

“You don’t get to mock me and tell me that I’m not leaving. Don’t be an asshole to me right now, Wolfe. I want to leave. This is your problem.”

He still held her arm.

She waited.
