“What are you going to do?” Alpha asked.

“I have no idea.” He’d already told the club brothers lastnight that he loved Amelia, that he wanted to be with her. He was going to do whatever it took to win her back, not that he had the first clue on how to do it.

Alpha slapped him on the back. “Good luck.”

Alpha and Val left.

He stared at Amelia’s apartment and tried to think of what to do.

The first thing he needed was food. For the next couple of hours, he headed into the supermarket and cleared out most of the small vegan section of food. After that, he made sure to buy plenty of vegetables, and as he waited at the grocery store counter, he saw the questioning looks he was getting from the locals.

“Gone vegan, sir?” the cashier asked.

Wolfe couldn’t quite remember the guy’s name, but he’d tried out for the beta team and failed. He’d also demanded a shot at the MC, and that was not going to happen.

They were not cruel, but this kid did not have what it took to be one of them, and he wasn’t going to waste his time even allowing this kid to try, nor did Alpha.

“My mate is,” Wolfe said, allowing his voiceto carry.

All he needed was the right person to hear him.

“Your mate?”

“Yep, and we all know the only vegan around here, don’t we?” Wolfe asked, pulling out his cash and paying for the food.

The cashier was in shock. “Yes, sir.”

“So, I didn’t see a bigenough selection of food. Please talk to someone, let them know that Wolfe is asking when the products are going to be back in stock.” He nodded at the man, knowing he was probably pissing himself.

After grabbing his bag of groceries, he stepped out of the store, and sure enough, like a wave, he saw as people got the news.

Amelia had been claimed. By a member of the Poison Wolves MC.

Now, he just needed to make sure she was aware of it as well.

He arrived at her door, and he’d already gotten himself akey cut. He knew the code as well, which he typed in.

Wolfe was a bit more of a gentleman when he got to her door. Rather than going straight in, he knocked on the door.

“Who is it?” Amelia asked.

“It’s me.”

She opened the door seconds later, and he brushed past her. “Are you hungry?” he asked.

“Wolfe, what are you doing here?”

“I’m going to cook you dinner.” He stepped into her kitchen and placed the bags on the counter. “Now, I don’t do a wholelot of cooking, but I figured these are like normal burgers.” He pulled out a packet of vegan ones. “You still eat onions, as I can cook them in oil. Also, I hear you’re big on salads and potatoes.” He tossed a bag of potatoes on the counter. “What do you say?”

“Er, I … how did you know?” Amelia asked.

“Did some reading. Needed to figure out what to cook you, and seeing as the brothers refused to learn, I’m the one that has been cooking all of your meals for you.”

“You did?”

He looked up at her. “Don’tsound so surprised. Yeah, I’m the one who cooked for you. Took care of you.” He winked at her. “And cooked you dinner.”

“Wolfe, if you think this is going to—”
