I whimper and arch my back.

The rush of pleasure suddenly reaches its peak.

I grab for Archer’s wrist but that doesn’t help.

He still moves his fingers.

Sliding them with my pleasure.

I feel my nose touching his knife.

To answer his question…is this real enough?

The answer is really simple.

Yes.

Idon’t remember when but at some point Archer takes his knife from my pillow and puts it away.

I curl up and hold the blankets against my body.

I’m warm.

When I exhale I keep gently groaning.

Archer is right behind me.

When I reach for his hand and place it to my hip, he squeezes once and lets go.

He’s not into cuddling. He’s just present.

Well, more than present.

There’s a situation between my legs that proves that.

I swallow hard for the millionth time.

My thoughts are no longer contained.

They’re running in any and all direction throughout my mind.

“Just sleep, sweet thing,” Archer whispers. “You’ll figure out more in the morning.”

“Just tell me he’s okay,” I whisper back.

Archer growls. “Yeah.”

“Is that part of theHeirstuff that Cullen is doing right now? Settling things up? Making calls or whatever?”

“Nothing to worry about,” Archer says.

“I’m anHeir, Archer,” I say. “I’m supposed to be able to control you.”

“You are, sweet thing. I’m in your bed. I’m rubbing my thumb against my pointer and middle fingers. I can feel you. Just remember that. I’m here.”

My toes curl tight again and I’m turned on again.

I quickly shut my eyes and beg to anything that exists beyond this world to just make me fall asleep.
