I shut my legs on his hand and shake my head.

“You think that will stop me?” Seth asks.

“Want to find out?”

“Now you’re flirting with me, Jaci.”

“To get away from you, Seth.”

“Meaning you’ll do anything to get out of here?”

“Maybe.”

Seth flexes his jaw and moves his hand away from me.

“You’re free of the cuffs now, Jaci,” he says.

“Free of everything else too?”

“Sure,” he says. “Tell you what. I’ll even give you a ride back there.”

“What?”

Seth looks at me.

He doesn’t smile, grin, or smirk.

He just hasthatlook.

The look of evil. The look of danger. The look of trouble.

The look he has when he’s ready to start a fight.

I swallow hard.

“Buckle up, Jaci,” he says.

He puts the car into drive, speeds down the alleyway and cuts out onto the main road without even looking.

He blasts through the first stop sign.

Then the second.

I’m holding onto the seat, almost shaking.

The third stop sign Seth abides by the law.

He comes to a complete stop and looks at me.

“What the fuck are you planning?” I ask.

Now he smiles.“I’ve always wanted to go to college…”

Chapter 8

“Ican’t believe I’m doing this,” I say without looking at Seth.

“Are you going to lean over and finally take care of me?” Seth asks.
