Page 123 of Dirty Princess

All because of me.

But none of this is my fault.

I didn’t ask to be here.

But I also didn’t turn down the advances from both Archer and Cullen.

Maybe Archer’s really pissed at me because he didn’t get anything in return from me. Not that he gave me a chance. I mean, he slipped his tongue between my legs, made me come, and then just walked off into the night. I stood no chance of trying to walk let alone run after him. And for what? Did he want me to just randomly show up somewhere and drop to my knees and suck him off?

At least with Cullen, I can go see him.

We can be alone in a room.

Now with my head spinning, I decide to skip going back to the dorm and just head toMakson Ridge.

That’s where all theHeirsare.

It’s where I belong anyway, right?

If I can’t find Cullen there, then I guess I’m screwed.

Or at the very least I’ll ask one of the otherHeirswhere Cullen is.

SomeThornrecognizes me and turns into a totalfan girl.

She clutches her chest and demands that she drives me toMakson Ridge.

I tell her whatever and then climb into the back of the golf cart and stare at my phone.

Once I’m at the massive house again, I climb out of the golf cart and take a deep breath.

It’s a really nice house.

Spooky.

Fitting for the season.

Leaves jump from their branches as I walk up toward the house.

I know they are falling because that’s what leaves do in autumn. But I can’t help but wonder if the leaves are warning me to stay away.

Far too late now, right?

I get to the door and lift my hand to knock.

Then I remember again that this is my house too.

Fuck knocking.

I grab for the door handle.

“Stay out here, Jaci.”

I turn my head.

“Quinn,” I whisper.

“That’s right,” Cullen’s brother says.
