Archer speeds up even more.

He’s getting even closer to Birdie’s SUV…

He’s mad.

He’s still mad at me over what I did with Cullen.

My body feels split in half as I think about it.

Archer claims he has to kill me, right? He has no problem telling me that the second I find out who my family is, he’s going to kill me. Because apparently my uncle killed his uncle, right? Yet he’s acting like this? Because I touched Cullen?

That tells me one thing.

Archer Amatti is jealous.

And that turns me on too.

To picture myself between both Archer and Cullen.

The two of them hating each other. The two of them wanting me.

Me able to do whatever I want with both.

Cullen is so caring and wants to hug me.

Archer says he hates me but yet he likes touseme.

Archer looks to be inches away from hitting Birdie’s SUV.

He then makes a daring move.

Cutting to the left and speeding up like he wants to pass me.

He suddenly lays on his horn.

For some reason there’s a little voice in my head that suddenly screams,Look forward, Jaci!

I look forward.

Then up just a little.

I have a red light.

I’m about to run that red light.

Right into high-speed oncoming traffic.

Idon’t know how I do it.

Somehow I’m standing in my dorm room, holding my shaking hand out toward Birdie for her to take the key fob to her SUV.

“Jaci,” she says. “Holy shit.”

“I… here are your keys…”

“Maz!” Birdie yells. “We’ve got an issue!”

Maz opens her bedroom door. “What can possibly… whoa. Jaci. You don’t look so good.”
