Attacking Tocky the way he did.

Doing it all for me.

Archer didn’t care what happened to Fay.

He just cared about me.

I see him hitting Marty.

I’m not sure if Marty deserved to get punched or not, but oh well.

“Reach for me again, Doyle, and I’ll rip your hand off,” Archer says.

“Tough guy,” Cullen says.

“I’m here alone,” Archer says. “I know you’ve got your boys waiting just behind the door. Ready to fight. Ready to defend.”

“I don’t need them to take you down, Amatti,” Cullen says. “But here there are rules.”

“Yeah, right,” Archer says. “I’m just some low lifeSavage, right?”

“You chose that.”

Archer glances at me again.

I watch as his eyes scan me.

All of me.

Head to toe.

Toe to head.

A warm chill wraps tight around my body.

He’s making sure I’m in one piece.

Yet this guy plans on killing me?

“Go back toSentral,” Cullen says. “Where you belong.”

“I can’t wait for this war, Doyle,” Archer says. “We’re so close. It’s going to be the bloodbath we’ve always wanted.”

“The war doesn’t start tonight, Amatti.”

“The war’s been going on for a long time,” Archer says. “It’s been quiet. Not anymore.”

Archer glances at me again.

Cullen then makes his move toward me.

He grabs my hand.

“Let’s leave, love,” he whispers. “Don’t worry about him. He regrets not being here. That’s all this is.”

As I walk back into the house, I look back.

I see Archer staring at me.
