“You’ve all heard what happened,” I say. “You may or may not know who it happened to. That’s not the important part of this.”

“It was me.”

I turn my head and Birdie has her hand in the air.

She swallows hard and walks toward me.

I offer my hand and nod.

Birdie and I hold hands.

“It was me that it happened to,” Birdie says. “I refuse to live in hiding.”

“And it was not her fault,” I say. “Party or not. There’s a lot I can talk about right now, but I won’t. What happened is not allowed. Ever. I don’t care who you are.Heir. Savage. Thorn. This never happens again.”

Everyone began to nod.

I scanned the small crowd.

It made my stomach sick at the thought that someone in this group could be the one who hurt Birdie.

I see another person suddenly appear.

Dressed in all black.

Looking right at me.

Archer’s here now too.

I swallow hard.

“This isn’t a lesson kind of meeting,” I say. “I’m not here to give a speech about right from wrong. If I wanted to do that, I would have called the police. That’s right. The police aren’t involved in this.”

A handful of people look at each other.

“I think you know what that means,” I say.

I glance at Birdie.

I smile at her.

She nods to me.

“Whoever did this to Birdie needs to pay,” I announce. “They need to pay with their life.”

There are a few gasps.

I don’t look or point.

I don’t need anyone to feel uneasy.

If someone here did this to Birdie, the guilt will eat them away.

“I’m a fuckingHeirand that’s a fucking order,” I say. “I want the person found and I want them killed.DSCis no place for that kind of bullshit. And if this person isn’t here on this campus, then we all keep looking. We keep asking questions. We find out who did this. Do you understand me?”

Cullen lets out a loud whistle. “Did you fuckers hear her or not?”

Everyone nods.
