“Do you need help sorting through everything?” Cara asks when she steps into my room and looks at the piles and piles of purchases.

“I’m exhausted,” I tell her, feeling tired both mentally and physically.

“Better lie down and get some rest. The guys will be back tomorrow.”

My head snaps in her direction. “Really?”

Spending a million dollars couldn’t bring me the happiness those words just did.

“How do you know?” I narrow my eyes at her. If she’s joking right now, I may never forgive her.

“While all the women were shopping, I was snooping on a conversation between Dominic and Shadow.” She shrugs likes it’s perfectly normal to stick her nose in club business.

She gives me a hug before leaving the room.

Nate has been gone since Monday. We had to wait until today, Saturday, for our shopping trip so everyone who wanted to go could attend. I didn’t expect him to be home so soon, and the excitement of that gets me through my shower. I’ll worry about organizing the things I bought today tomorrow. I know I’ll have a couple hours after I wake up before he gets home.

Chapter 36

Apollo

Coming home is always exciting. Even before I had a woman waiting in the bed for me, there was always a sense of relief with not being at work. Here at the clubhouse, I don’t have to sleep with one eye open. I don’t have to worry about getting hurt or losing one of my brothers, but nothing compares to quietly walking into my room and seeing my wife sprawled out on the bed, one bare leg bent and curled around the sheet as if she got too warm and needed some part of her body to regulate the temperature of the rest.

I strip to the skin in record time, tossing my clothes to the floor because I don’t want the creak of the closet door to wake her if I try to put my clothes away. Crawling under the sheets and lining my body up to hers gives a whole new meaning to coming home.

She sighs when I press my lips to her bare shoulder, my hand coming around to caress her slightly swollen stomach.

“I thought you wouldn’t be home until later,” she whispers, her body inching back just a little to get closer to me.

“Everyone was eager to get back,” I explain, letting my fingers wander from her belly to her amazing tits. “Did you sleep well last night?”

“I’ll sleep even better now,” she says, her voice still filled with sleep, but I can hear the smile in it.

“Get some rest, baby. Just ignore me.”

She chuckles when my hand makes it to the apex of her thighs, her legs parting as she places her top one over mine, opening herself up for me.

“You’re poking me in the back.”

“Let me fix that,” I say, moving my bottom half down a few inches until my cock is lined up right where it desperately needs to be.

“Mmm,” she groans. “I don’t think I’m ready for that.”

“No? I can fix that as well.”

She laughs loudly when I sneak under the covers and put my mouth first on her tits before moving lower to lash at her clit with my tongue.

Twenty minutes later, her cheeks are flushed from coming so hard, and her thighs are sticky from the both of us.

“I seriously love coming inside of you.”

“Such a caveman,” she whispers, her eyes bright and looking into mine as her fingers tangle in my hair.

“Your caveman,” I clarify before kissing her.

“I’m so lucky.”

“I’m the lucky one, baby. Now let’s shower so we can get something to eat.”

“I’m not—” Her stomach grumbles, betraying the lie she was about to tell. “Okay, but a light breakfast before coming back in here. I’m not nearly done with you yet.”

“I take it you want me to help with that?” I point to the pile of things in the corner.

She groans, turning her face into my chest. “I don’t even want to think of all of that stuff. I have nowhere to even put it. The closet can only hold so much stuff. At this rate, the baby is going to have to sleep in between us or in a dresser drawer. There’s no room for a crib in here.”

“Maybe it’s time to consider getting our own place.”

She stiffens in my arms.

“You don’t like the idea of that at all, do you?”

She shakes her head. “You’re just gone so much, and I feel safe here. I know we’ll be safe here when you’re at work. I thought coming back and staying while you’re gone would be okay, but do you see all that? I can’t pack all that up and carry it back and forth. Just the thought stresses me out.”

I understand completely. Who knew a baby needed so many damned things?
