Grey pinched the bridge of his nose. “Fuck.” He lowered his hand. “What’s your plan?”

“I have a meeting set up for the two of you. You’re there to talk about a business he’s trying to become involved with or even buy. It’s one that I own under a corporate name.”

“What type of business?” Grey asked.

“Import-export. He thinks he’s going to use my business for illegal shit.”

Grey shook his head. “There’s no way that’s going to happen.”

“Hell no.”

“When’s the meeting?”

“In an hour. It’s going to take you that long to get there.”

Grey snorted. “You bastard.”

“I know you. You’d do anything if you thought you could save someone, especially a woman or a child.”

Grey nodded. “That’s true.”

“I want you to act like a crooked, scary businessman,” Darian said.

“Everything but being crooked fits.” Grey grinned. “So, what if I don’t see the girl?”

“Oh, you’ll see her. He likes to parade her around. He treats her like a slave, and he’s proud of it. He thinks he can get away with anything.”

“Fucker. What do you want me to do with her?”

“Her name is Emily, and I want you to kidnap her.” Darian laughed. “I have to warn you he might start trouble. Hell, he probably will after you take his toy.”

“I don’t fucking care. My new project is bringing the bastard down.”

Darian nodded. “I hoped you’d say that. Every project you start ends the way you want it to.”

Grey’s projects started years ago when he met a woman and child a husband had beaten. They’d gone through every legal channel, and the guy still got to them and hurt them. It took a few months, but he got rid of the man so no one would ever see him again. A little trip on a friend’s cargo ship going to South Africa worked well with the promise that if they came back, he’d kill them.

It stemmed from a maid he’d had growing up. She was one of the nicest people he’d ever met, and she was being hurt by her boyfriend. He admitted to having a crush on her, which made it so much worse. The guy got to her no matter what she did. She even tried to run, but he caught her the next day and killed her. What Grey didn’t understand and what pissed him off the most was that the guy got off on a technicality.

Grey’s parents hadn’t been able to explain that. When he was old enough, he tracked the guy down and found he was doing the same thing with another woman, so he took care of him. That was where the scar had come from because the fucker had a knife he hadn’t seen, and the guy tried to slice him up. He’d cut his face but also stabbed him in the gut, hitting a kidney, so Grey came very close to dying that day. That didn’t stop him from going after more bad men.

He looked at Darian. “I finish my projects because I analyze everything. It’s what makes me a good businessman and an even better day-trader,” Grey said. “So, after I get her, what in the hell do you want me to do with her?”

Darian smiled. “Take her home.”

“You bastard. You know I don’t have time for what you’re thinking. Besides, I’ll probably terrify her.”

“You’ve wanted a little for years. This might be your chance. Get to know each other, and if there’s nothing there, I’ve got a few other places she can go. Other men who are looking for littles. We can’t let her on the streets again. For one, she can’t handle it, and two, Fowler will try to find her. Your house is a fortress like mine, so she’ll be safe. I’ll bring a few littles over to meet her when everything calms down because I think she desperately needs friends.”

“She has no family?”

“No. She was adopted twice, but for some reason or other, she had to leave the homes.”

Fuck, that didn’t sound good. “Okay, I’ll take her home, but I’ll have you come and get her if she freaks out on me,” Grey said.

Darian nodded, looked toward the door, and smiled.

Grey turned to find Larkin and one of the guards with several bags in their arms.
