“May God have mercy on our souls,” I whispered, lighting the match and dropping it on her body. She went up like a Fourth of July firework, her body engulfed almost immediately. We wasted no time rushing from the room, Drake dribbling fuel along the way, the fire licking up our heals. Most of the hidden basement wouldn’t burn since it was constructed of brick and tile, but I knew the rest of the place would go up a decent amount.

By the time we reached the car, the old house was completely engulfed. We stood watching it for a long time as it burned before getting into the car and leaving what was left of Bianca’s life behind.

CHAPTER51

Dominic

Cole couldn’t reach Drake all night. Levin and Vincent drove back to Bolten to see if the lords had returned. They hadn’t. I didn’t figure they would, but since we had nothing to go on, I thought it was worth a shot.

Enzo, E, and Cole stayed overnight with us while Fox returned to their girl overnight.

I hadn’t slept. Instead, I sat in bed, clutching my phone in my hand as I stared down at the photos of Bianca I had on it. She was smiling in each one as she held me in our bed. As she did her hair. As she smiled up at me as I stared down at her.

Something in my chest told me I’d lost her, but I refused to believe it. I’d bring her home. I swore that I would. I couldn’t let her down. I’d already disappointed her so much.

I barely registered the footsteps pounding up my stairs. It was the loud bang on my door that made me get to my feet. It was just after seven in the morning.

I pulled the door open to find Cole standing there, his phone in his hand.

“He sent the address. Let’s go.”

It took me all of a second to reach behind me and grab my leather jacket off the chair and pull it on. I was still dressed in yesterday’s clothes. Within moments, I was downstairs with Enzo who looked like he hadn’t slept either. E yawned softly as he pushed his gun onto his hip.

They knew we were going to a place we might not come back from.

It didn’t take Levin and Vincent long to join us. Neither looked refreshed.

“We have the address. It’s some old farmhouse outside of town. Drake said it’s Tate’s dad’s old safe house. He gave it to Tate when Tate turned eighteen. It’s where he’s been keeping Bianca these past few weeks. Drake said there’s a basement beneath the first basement where all the bad shit goes down. He warned us to be careful. He said he doesn’t know where she is and tried to get that information but was unsuccessful, so he gave us her last known whereabouts.” Enzo looked over each of us. “If you’re ready, we’re ready.”

I nodded, angry the little shit hadn’t done it last night.

I was ready, even if it meant I’d meet my death.

“Plan?” Levin asked tightly as we followed Enzo’s SUV to the address. I’d left the court at school. I didn’t want any of them getting killed. Fox had rejoined us right before we left, so we at least had one more with us.

The day was gray and fat raindrops dropped onto the windshield as we sped along the road.

“Kill the lords. All of them. Save Bianca,” I answered as I stared out the window. We were well over the posted speed limit and making good time.

“Fallon?” Vincent asked.

“I want to be the one,” Levin said softly. “I promised him it would be me. He’s mine.”

I nodded. “He’s yours, brother.”

“I think we should at least hear what he has to say. I don’t think he’d do this to B—”

“Fucking stop, Vin!” I shouted, glaring at him from over my shoulder. “You fucking saw the video. It was him! He tricked us. He trick her! He deserves to die for what he’s done.”

Vincent stared back at me, his dark eyes bright. “I think we should hear him out. I don’t want to always wonder what the fuck really went down. I need to hear it from him. I know he loves her. This is a misunderstanding. He wouldn’t hurt her.”

“You’re too kind, Vin,” I grunted, turning back around. “He dies. That’s final.”

Vincent didn’t say another word as he rode.

Eventually, we turned down a winding dirt road and followed it to driveway that snaked through a thin forest.
