And the warmth of my two kings, holding me close.

CHAPTER17

Dominic

Sleep had eluded me all night, so I’d stayed up reading and learning more about Lorenzo De Luca.

So far, he seemed legitimate. His father was a huge deal. I’d heard rumors of him before. Ruthless, but just.

Judging by the pictures of Enzo and his family, they were close and absolutely nothing like me and my father.

“Good morning,” Vincent greeted me as I looked up from the book I was reading.

I pushed my black framed glasses up my nose and watched as my wife walked in behind him, Levin at her back.

She was wearing a pair of Vincent’s track pants and a white t-shirt. Her hair was a wild mess, suggesting she’d already had a fantastic morning with my friends.

Immediately, she came to me. I tossed my book aside and held my arms open for her. She crawled into my lap. I tilted her chin up so I could kiss her soft lips.

“Did you have fun?” I asked softly.

She hugged me, her face nuzzled into my neck. “Yes. So much.”

I breathed out and swallowed. They’d better have been careful.I was trying to work on not pissing Bianca off so much, so I didn’t ask the question that was burning my tongue.

“I like your glasses,” she murmured in my ear.

“Oh yeah?”

“You’re so sexy with them on.”

“And I’m not without them?” I teased her softly.

“Mmm, you’re always sexy, husband.”

I heard my small fridge open and close and looked to see Vincent eating a slice of pizza.

I smirked at him. “Thanks for the pizza last night.”

“Thanks for letting us fuck your wife.”

“Vinny,” Bianca groaned, tucking her face in the crook of my neck.

Levin chuckled and sat on the edge of my bed. He took the piece of pizza Vin offered him and munched on it.

“Anything important happen since last night?” Levin asked, his blue eyes locked on me.

I shook my head. “Not really. Researched De Luca some more. He appears to be honest, but everyone in this world is until they’re not.”

“He is though,” Bianca said, kissing my jaw. “Promise.”

“How would you know?” I asked, gazing at her.

“Because I do. Someone who loves as deeply as he does, doesn’t lie.”

“And how would you know how deeply he loves?” Vincent asked.

“Because we talked about his girlfriend when he asked to speak to me in private. He loves her. He’s worried about her. He wants her safety more than anything, so he won’t betray you. Betrayal won’t save her. So, he’s honest.”
