Black took the envelope, opened it, pulled the small slip of paper out, and read it. His face turned red with anger, his lips a firm line.

“What’s wrong? What does it say?”

He handed me the note; it read:

You surprise me, sweet Ann.

But, really, Black as your man.

You could do so much better.

To get your pussy a whole lot wetter.

When he moves on to his whores.

Which there are scores and scores.

You’ll cry a river.

Your heart torn to slivers.

“Whoever this is, Ann, they seem to know both of us, not that I have scores of whores, mind you, that they know me by my club name,” Black said.

My mind went immediately to what Jacob had said this morning in the office. “One of the head financial officers at my company came to see me this morning. Jacob said he noticed a bike in front of my apartment and basically threatened to tell my father my personal business. I don’t know if it’s related since he has no way of knowing it’s you or how he would even know you,” I said.

Black gave me a black look true to his name. “Why would this Jacob care who you had in your bed, and why would he think he could tell your father? Who is he to you?” Black growled at me.

How interesting. It almost seemed like Black was jealous. “My father would like nothing more than for me to date Jacob, and Jacob knows it. Jacob is ambitious, and marrying me would give him control of the company when father retires. So, yes, he feels perfectly comfortable snitching on me, especially when it endangers his future plans.”

“Screw him. He can mind his own fucking business, and he sounds like a pansy-ass to threaten running to someone's daddy. But I don’t think it was him; the first note came before I stayed the night here, so probably not him. But I will have Kickstand check him out unless you're interested in a future with this guy,” Black said, eyeing me closely.

Rolling my eyes, “No, if I wanted to date Jacob, I would have, but I don’t feel any attraction toward him.”

My body came to attention as he moved toward me, pushing me into the wall. “That’s good because I don’t want to have to kill him.” He breathed into my ear, his mouth finding my neck and biting there.

I let my body relax, enjoying the feeling of our bodies being pushed together. I was getting ready to let my hand wander when there was knocking at the door, causing me to jump, startling me from the moment. “Who could that be?” I asked, my hand going over my beating heart.

Pulling back and kissing my nose and headed to the door. “That Ann is our pizza, so let’s eat up so we can burn off the calories later,” Black said, giving me a naughty look, grabbing his crotch before he opened the door.

They say the heart wants what the heart wants, and I’m starting to believe it because I want this sexy, rude, and somewhat crass biker.

BLACK

“I STUCKwith pepperoni and cheese,” I said, putting the box down on the counter while Ann grabbed some plates.

“That’s what I usually get, so cool.”

“Let’s dig in, I’m starving, so first pizza and then dessert,” I said, sticking my tongue out and licking Ann’s lips, causing her to gasp and blush.

“Maybe I’m on a diet and will be skipping dessert,” Ann said with a saucy smile as she reached up, releasing her hair from the bun, letting it fall with a shake.

She was so damn sexy. “Keep teasing me, and I’ll eat my dessert first.”

Raising her hands in the air. “I give. I’m too hungry to even go there without eating.” Ann giggled in a cute way that softened her and made her eyes shine.

Why was I noticing all this shit about her? I felt like I was in one of my sister’s romance books she read and sighed over. I didn’t take time to notice this stuff with women. It must be the close proximity we have because of me staying here.

We both grabbed some pizza and started to eat. I sent a text to Shadow and Kickstand about the newest note that was left. Someone would have to question Johnny, and Kickstand would need to check the security footage at Ann’s building. That reminded me of that fucker Jacob who threatened Ann. I would get his last name and then see what we could find on him. Ann thought I was joking about killing him.
