“You can give me shit later. Right now, I want to know what happened.” I growled. Ann was not going to let it go.

“If you cared, that would have been the first thing you asked when you walked in this evening,” Ann said, hurt in her voice.

“Look, Ann, I’m sorry, Okay. I have felt things I have never had before when it comes to you. One of those feelings is jealousy, and I have never dealt with this type of shit feeling before, so I’m going to make mistakes. Thinking of you with another man drives me insane.” I pulled her closer, bringing her into my arms, feeling like I was making progress since she didn’t push away.

Ann used her tiny fist to give me a half-hearted punch. “I’m not ready to forgive you. Seeing you with that woman hurt me, Black, and it’s not an easy image to erase from my mind,” She said, her words muffled with her face buried in my chest.

Steering us to the bed, I sat down, pulling her on my lap, taking my hand to cup her chin, making her look at me. “Ann, if I could turn back time, I would, but trust me in this fact, I never would have done anything with her. You have become the only woman I want and not just to fuck; I want all of you, everything that this little body contains; I want to be a part of it.”

Those whiskey eyes looked at me, hurt still visible. “Black, if it was you who found me with another man between my legs, would you be quick to forgive and forget. The club women will always be here for you to run to, and I don’t know if I can ever be okay with that. Being the little woman at home while you are here doing whatever with whoever. That’s not me and never will be.”

Now I see why Shadow and some of the others avoid any contact with the club girls. Once you find the one, it becomes a huge problem causing major trust issues. However, I think now is the time to play dirty, so taking Silvers’s advice. I flipped Ann so she was lying on the bed, quickly covering her with my body. “If I ever caught you with another man between your legs, I would kill him on the spot and show your pretty pussy who it belongs to,” I rasped into her ear, kissing her before she protested with that sassy mouth of hers.

Thanking my lucky stars, Ann was wearing a skirt; I moved my hand up her thigh and between her legs, ripping her panties off, pushing her skirt up to her waist before moving down and shoving my face in her sweet pussy, tonguing her hard and fast.

“Jesus, Black, you don’t play fair,” Ann moaned.

Looking up at her from between her legs. “By the time morning comes, your body will know exactly who it belongs to,” I said, putting my mouth back on the sweetest pussy I have ever tasted.

I kept my promise, and by morning I had taken Ann in every way imaginable. She was mine, and I wasn’t letting her go.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

ANN

BLACK STAYEDwith me the whole night, ending with us showering together and going our separate ways. He to breakfast, and since the shower took longer than usual with Black taking me against the shower wall, his strong arms holding me while he gave me pleasure that is still radiating through my body, I was running late for work. So I ran through Starbucks for a coffee and made it before my first appointment.

By the time lunch rolled around, I was hungry. So I made my way outside and found Mary waiting for me in her car parked across the street, talking to Johnny, who was on his bike beside her car. Johnny was a big guy, well over six feet, and with all those blond good looks that caused girls to swoon, he couldn’t be older than twenty-one.

Walking up to them. “I'm starving; let’s hit up the Arby’s down the street and head to my apartment to eat. I want to make sure things are good there,” I said, getting into the passenger seat of Mary’s car.

“Sounds good,” Mary agreed, starting the car.

“I will be right behind you,” Johnny said, putting his helmet on.

Going through the drive-thru and grabbing some sandwiches, we slowed and waited for Johnny to catch up since he got some lunch for himself. Then, we started toward my apartment. “So, is everything good with you and Black?” Mary asked.

“We’re working on it. I have a hard time getting past what Black did. If he could so easily misjudge a situation and react impulsively to retaliate by getting drunk and grabbing a woman, what’s to stop him from doing it again?” I replied, trying not to let bitterness seep into my voice like some insecure hag.

Looking thoughtful, Mary said, “Yeah, it hurts when you see the man you care about in a situation like that. But, if you care for him, give him a chance. I think he really cares for you. I heard Poison tell Jay that Black didn’t so much as get drunk when they were on the run. Just sat in the clubhouse till bedtime and then pushed them to come back early.”

I’m not going to lie and say that I hadn’t wondered if he was with some random chick on the run he took to South Carolina, and hearing that he didn’t made my heart swell with relief. I kept the thought in the back of my mind thinking Black could do it, and I would never know. “I am giving him a chance. But until I know I can trust him; I am holding back a part of myself. I don’t want to get hurt.” Knowing it was already too late for that.

“That’s all you can do. What's meant to be will be,” Mary said, pulling into my driveway. We didn’t get out until Johnny pulled in. He was going into the apartment first.

We followed Johnny up the stairs, careful not to notice that ass in those jeans; holy moly, he would break some hearts. I unlocked the door, letting him go first. Everything appeared fine as I shut the door. Then, I saw a note on the inside of the door. I read it:

The door is shut.

How good is your luck?

Don’t turn around

Or you may hear this sound.

Fear skittered on my back; slowly turning around, a man stood there, a big man with dark hair and a menacing face. “Boo,” he said, smirking as Mary and I backed into the door. Another man just as big and scary came out of the bedroom dragging Johnny, who had clearly been shot. The man had a gun with a silencer on it.

This was bad, real bad. I didn’t know what to do.
